Ivan Moreno, Executive Director

Ivan Moreno was born to the sounds of the clave in Centro Habana, where music and dance play an essential part in everyday life. Those memories are the seeds of Clave Y Cuba that he aims to propagate throughout the world. The clave, brought from Africa, continues to be the heartbeat of Cuban music.

Ivan has spent over two decades performing Afro-Cuban music in the cities he’s lived in including Miami, Atlanta, New York, and Denver. The ensembles he plays with hail from diverse backgrounds spotlight how Afro-Cuban culture transcends geographic lines. Passionate about sharing the treasure chest of Afro- Cuban rhythms, Clave Y Cuba proudly unites cultural ambassadors in its mission to propagate Afro-Cuban musical history, tradition, and folklore.

Kayla Santalla, Board Chair

Kayla Santalla is a diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and brand marketing professional with 15+ years of experience driving social impact for world-class brands. Before launching her consulting practice dedicated to building DEI into the foundation of brands, Kayla gained 10 years of nonprofit leadership experience at Ms. Foundation for Women and Girl Scouts of the USA. A lover of art and activism, she currently also serves on Street Wise’s board of directors, working to amplify artist voices and unleash the power of public art to spark change and build empathy within communities.


José Andro Mella Bosch, Musical Director

José Andro Mella Bosch is a Latin Grammy-nominated Cuban music expert, musician, and vocalist from the city of Matanzas. Globally, he made his mark as a leading vocalist of Los Munequitos de Matanzas, one of the most successful and critically acclaimed rumba groups of all time. An iconic “street” rumbero, Andro is also a seasoned performer and director of one of Matanzas leading comparsas. Known as the most sought out Cajon singer, Andro brings a wealth of knowledge to the Clave Y Cuba community. 


Marcus Logan, Board Member

Marcus Logan has held corporate and consulting senior roles in global marketing throughout North America, Europe & Africa. His current company, Cool World Agency is designed to deliver his cumulative skills into a full suite solution, encompassing Brand Strategy & Creative for major clients and developing brands. Logan's client accolades are highlighted by 20x RIAA Platinum Certifications, 13 Grammy Awards, 4 "New Artist of the Year" Grammy nominations, and a Sundance "Best Picture" Award. This serves as recognition of the success that Logan and Cool World has systematically brought to each of his music industry, marketing and branding clients and employers. Companies include the following: BMG, Universal, SONY, Def Jam, Commission Records, Meta, Tik Tok, ADIDAS and more.
