Realismo Mágico— Creative Powerhouse
Clave Y Cuba’s NYC-based collective took center stage at BAM Fisher, presenting an unforgettable live music performance as part of Realismo Mágico, a captivating multidisciplinary celebration. Curated by renowned artist José Parlá in collaboration with choreographer Claudia Hilda, this one-night-only event was part of the TAKEOVERS series and brought together a diverse array of Cuban artists to explore the intersection of reality, fantasy, and cultural narrative.

Marisol Blanco: Master Teacher & Dance Innovator
Clave Y Cuba is excited to feature Marisol Blanco, a master teacher and professional dancer with over 24 years of experience. A graduate of Cuba’s prestigious Superior Institute of Arts (ISA) and The National School of Arts (ENA), Marisol is renowned for her expertise in Afro-Cuban Folkloric and Popular Dance, as well as traditional dances from around the world.
Rumba en el Barrio!
Clave Y Cuba teamed up with El Museo Del Barrio to present Rumba en el Barrio! featuring our New York-based collective of musicians. The grand finale of the Uptown Bounce series was held on 104th Street and 5th Avenue in front of Central Park.

Born in Cuba, Irawo Osa is at the forefront of blending Afro-Cuban musical traditions with Latin Jazz. At the heart of the ensemble are two brothers, prodigious talents, and members of the famed Cuban rumba group, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas.
