Clave Y Cuba’s Celebration at PAMM for José Parlá’s Homecoming Exhibition
Clave Y Cuba had the honor of participating in the opening celebration of José Parlá’s Homecoming exhibition at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). The night was a powerful fusion of art, music, and culture, set against the stunning backdrop of PAMM’s waterfront terrace.
José Parlá’s Homecoming exhibition, which explores themes of identity, memory, and cultural connections, set the stage for a dynamic evening that celebrated the artists and the rich cultural heritage that Clave Y Cuba holds dear. The event was an opportunity to experience the fusion of visual arts and live Afro-Cuban folkloric music, with Clave Y Cuba’s collective bringing their authentic rhythms and vibes.
The collective’s performance included live Cuban folkloric music featuring Caridad Paisan Garbey, Eduardo Amelco, Miguelo Valdez, Johny Frias, Charlie Rios, Roger Consiglio, and Clave Y Cuba’s founder Ivan “Shie” Moreno. For Clave Y Cuba, this was more than just a performance; it was an invitation to the community to join in preserving and celebrating Cuban culture.
This event marked an exciting chapter for Clave Y Cuba as they continue to build bridges between diverse communities and promote cultural awareness through music, dance, and tradition.
