Vinyl Selection courtesy of José Parlá, a Brooklyn-based contemporary artist

Clave Y Cuba is excited to host a listening party at Public Records in Brooklyn, New York on Wednesday, August 10. The sound experience starts at 7:30 pm and will serve as the official release for Lagrimas Negras, a modern composition of a traditional folkloric song produced by Clave Y Cuba.

The Afro-Cuban jazz fusion features Latin Grammy-nominated musician Andro Mella, a Cuban artist known globally for being a leading voice of Los Munequitos de Matanzas, one of the most successful and critically acclaimed rumba groups of all time.

The special event will feature live performances by New York City Rumberos, providing guests with an opportunity to experience authentic Afro-Cuban sounds and Deejay sets by spun Brooklyn's very own Jose Parla, Marcus Logan, and Stefan Ruiz.

The deejays will be spinning many styles of music from their various vinyl collections that span Guaguanco, Mambo, Guaracha, Cha Cha Cha, Son Montuno, Salsa, Plena, Bomba, Plechanga, Cumbia, and House music, and more experimental sounds.

Tickets are available here.
